Award Honors Service Beyond the Call of Duty

HR Generalist Kathy Johnson was honored with the CMA Goldfish Award at a recent staff meeting. A staff member/recipient is recognized for performing services that have made a lasting or meaningful contribution or impact on our CMA community or a client community.

“When you combine strong competency with loyalty and a willingness to step up in times of crisis, or just tackling a new situation, not only over the short haul, but over the long haul, you have a Kathy Johnson.” While I was out on medical leave during the first 7 months of the year, Kathy handled everything that would normally cross my desk, tackling some tough and some unique situations and handled it all very competently,” said HR Manager Mary Beth Hays. “She was also ‘there’ for the other staff and our CEO Judi Phares, stepping in to provide assistance and guidance. I can never adequately express my appreciation for Kathy and all that she brings to CMA.”

CMA Donations Support Mission Central Arlington

CMA’s Charity of the Heart Committee proactively seeks opportunities to serve the community with philanthropic projects.

The staff recently held a food drive and canned good sculpture contest to benefit the Arlington non-profit, which empowers people in need in the Hurst, Euless, Bedford area by providing immediate needs like food and clothing. Through their Community Resource Center and other programs, their families achieve long-term stability.

CMA contributed more than 1300 cans of food  and $1,000 in cash contributions to support these services for families. The company encourages employees to volunteer by donating time or resources to participate in company-sponsored charity projects.

Three winning canned good sculptures were chosen as:  Best Theme, Most Creative, Best Overall.
