Recent Suspicious Activity

Dear LakePointe Homeowners,

Since emailing the Community in regards to after-hours trespassing in the pool, I’ve had several homeowners contact me saying that they’ve seen suspicious activity around their homes as well. One homeowner had a camera system that recorded people looking into his car windows with flashlights, trying to find something of value to steal. In a few of the cases that were reported to me, homeowners contacted the police. There were many instances however, where the police were never called. Please don’t hesitate to call the authorities when you see suspicious activity. It never hurts to be on the safe side. As I’ve said before, the police department allocates patrol based on the times and places where they receive the most call volume. For your convenience, the non-emergency line for Fort Worth P.D. is 817-335-4222, and of course you can always dial 9-1-1 in case of an emergency.

Fort Worth also has a Citizens On Patrol program called “Code Blue” that you can volunteer for that has helped reduced crime in neighborhoods with an active Code Blue program by as much as 40%. You can find more information about the program by clicking the following link

Pool Season Update

Many of you may have already noticed that we’ve upgraded a lot of the features at the pool this year. The splash spouts are back up and running, we’ve replaced some of the trees that we lost during the winter and we replaced both pump motors that operate the lazy river for a completely new experience.

It is our goal to keep the pools open and running as long as we can this pool season. In order for that to happen, we’re relying on the cooperation of the Community to help us make this a fun gathering place for everyone.

The pool has been open for less than a month, and we’ve already lost (4) four days of operations and use because of pool contamination issues. Each time this happens, we have to have the pool emergency cleaned and treated. (A cost to the Association of $250 each time.) The money used to emergency clean the facility takes away from other budgeted expenses like paying for the pool monitors. Simple precautions like using swim diapers on children who aren’t toilet trained, not swimming if you’re feeling sick to your stomach, not swimming if you have an open wound or not running to increase your risk of injury will help us maintain a contaminant free pool facility for all to enjoy.

Quick FAQ's
When are the assessment fees due?
The association assessment fees are due quarterly on January 1, April 1, July1, and October 1.

Where do I call after hours for an emergency?
CMA has an emergency on-call association manager to handle emergency Common Area Maintenance Issues (i.e. gates, pools, irrigation) requiring immediate response after normal hours, including weekends and holidays. Calls regarding payments, violations and other matters should be deferred until the next business day. The Emergency on-call number is 972-824-5159.

What are the CC&R'S?
The Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&R's) are the governing legal documents that set up the guidelines for the operation of the planned community as a non-profit corporation.
